These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of Stepable, a web service operated by Giovanni GASPARETTO, trading as Stepable ("Stepable", "we", "us"), registered under SIRET number 84255141800036 at 10 rue Tipolka, App 18, 97411 Saint-Paul, La Réunion, France. By creating an account, using the service, or purchasing a subscription, you enter into an agreement with Giovanni GASPARETTO, trading as Stepable, and you agree to these Terms. If you use Stepable on behalf of an organisation, you confirm you have authority to bind it; otherwise you confirm you are of legal age in your country.

1. The service

Stepable lets you paste a link to a video hosted on YouTube, mark timestamps as steps (manually or with AI assistance), and publish or share the resulting lesson. Videos remain hosted and played by YouTube; Stepable stores only your lesson structure, titles and descriptions. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use Stepable within the plan you have selected.

2. Acceptance and changes

Continued use of Stepable after we publish an updated version of these Terms means you accept the updated Terms. We will update the "last updated" date above when we make changes.

3. Your account

• You must provide accurate information and keep it up to date.
• You are responsible for keeping your credentials confidential and for all activity under your account.

4. Acceptable use

You must not misuse Stepable. In particular, you must not:

• use the service for any unlawful purpose, or in breach of YouTube's terms;
• commit fraud, send spam, or impersonate others;
• infringe intellectual property or other rights — you must have the rights, licence or permission needed for any content you upload, link, or describe;
• interfere with the security or integrity of the service: malware, probing, penetration testing, scraping, or circumventing technical limits or plan quotas;
• reverse engineer, resell or redistribute the service.

5. AI-generated steps

Stepable can propose step markers, titles and descriptions automatically using AI models. These outputs may be inaccurate, incomplete or unsuitable for your purpose, and are not a substitute for professional advice in regulated fields (for example medical, legal, financial or safety-critical instruction). You are responsible for reviewing and editing generated content before publishing it, for the inputs you provide, and for how you use the outputs. We may filter, refuse or restrict outputs, remove content, and suspend accounts where content is illegal, infringing or abusive. Rights holders can request removal of infringing lessons by contacting support@stepable.app; we act on valid notices and may terminate accounts of repeat infringers.

6. Your content

You keep ownership of the lessons, titles and descriptions you create. You grant us a limited licence to host, store, display and process that content solely to operate and provide the service, including making lessons you choose to publish or embed publicly accessible.

7. Our intellectual property

Stepable retains all rights in the service and its intellectual property, including software, design, documentation and branding. Nothing in these Terms transfers ownership to you.

8. Plans, payments and subscriptions

Stepable offers a free plan with limits (currently 3 stepables and 3 AI generations per month) and a paid Stepable Pro plan billed monthly or yearly. Prices are shown on our pricing page and are in USD unless stated otherwise.

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns.

Payment, billing, renewal, tax, cancellation and refund mechanics are governed by Paddle's Buyer Terms, together with our Refund Policy. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled; you can cancel at any time from your billing page and keep Pro access until the end of the paid period.

9. Availability

We work to keep Stepable available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free performance. The service depends on third parties (notably YouTube and our hosting and AI providers) and may be affected by maintenance or outages.

10. Warranties

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the service is provided "as is" and we disclaim all implied warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.

11. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate your access for material breach of these Terms, non-payment, security or fraud risk, or repeated or serious policy violations. You may stop using Stepable and delete your account at any time. On termination, published lesson links stop working; contact us within 30 days if you need to export your lesson data, after which it may be deleted.

12. Liability

To the extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability arising out of or relating to the service is capped at the fees you paid to us in the 12 months before the claim. We exclude liability for indirect, consequential or special damages, including loss of profits, data or goodwill. Nothing excludes liability for fraud, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

13. Indemnity

You will indemnify us against claims arising from your content, your unlawful use of the service, or your breach of these Terms.

14. General

• You may not assign these Terms without our consent; we may assign them in a merger or acquisition.
• Neither party is liable for delays caused by events beyond its reasonable control.
• These Terms are governed by the laws applicable at Stepable's place of establishment, and the competent courts there have jurisdiction, without prejudice to mandatory consumer rights in your country of residence.
